After 12 mile run at LP Field!

We ran with the Nashville Team in Training group (we usually just run with our little Murfreesboro group). It was HOT, 80 degrees when we got done, but when we are used to training through the winter it was a big shock. Overall it was a great day! And a bonus was getting to run the course. We ran from LP Field where the Titans play, up Veterans Bridge, through downtown, up Broadway, down Music Row and all the way to the last parking lot at Lipscomb, then back. And when we got done we were graced with talking with other TNT participants, one who is a non-Hodgkins lymphoma survivor (what my mom had) and another who has a 5 year old little girl with leukemia who received a bone marrow transplant and her older sister was her donor. It reminds me that I am running this for so much more than just to run a race, but I'm raising money so other people hopefully can be cured without dying from the treatment like my mom and grandfather. It was our last long run (I realize that term is relative) and we are tapering down now for the race on April 30. Very excited to be involved with this group, and to run this race again with TNT!
