Spring sports

Well it seems I have fallen off the blogging bandwagon.  In my defense, it has been a very busy spring!

Since Nathan turned 3 (which was my last post) we have had some very eventful few months.  We traveled to TN and WV to visit family for 2 1/2 weeks.  That was wonderful!  We got to see all the grandparents and some of our cousins, as well as lots of friends.  Then when we got back it has been a whirlwind of sports.  Paula is playing soccer and Tball this spring so we have been busy as ever with that.  She likes Tball, but LOVES playing soccer.  And she is proving to be very good at it.  She scores several goals every game, and is one of the dependable players on her team with her speed and her early ball skills.  She learned to kick the ball through the group and speed around them and kick the ball down the field to score.  Most of her goals are done this way.  I have her signed up for a summer UK Elite soccer camp in July and she can't wait.  And at her last game on Sunday, her coach said she would be ready in the fall to play a league up, which means she would be playing with 1st and 2nd graders as a kindergartener!  We are proud parents:)

Nathan is really enjoying going to all the sporting events, and brings his bat, ball, glove and sometimes a lacrosse stick or a frisbee.  He stays entertained on the sidelines, and turns quite a few heads.  Every game or practice at some point someone comes up to us and asks about him.  How old he is, how they have never seen a kid his age with the coordination to hit the way he does, etc.  It is starting to become quite comical to us to see who comes up to us.  Yesterday at Paula's soccer game Shane was pitching to him and three dads from several fields over were staring, and then later came up to me and asked me about him and joked about getting his autograph.  I told him too bad he can't write yet:)

Nathan has also shown interest in golf, so he has his own little golf set with a putter, driver and iron.  We took him to the driving range the other day and he had a blast!  This summer both of them are going to do a kids' golf clinic on Wednesdays.  We are excited for summer in Montana, and can't wait to do some traveling, camping and hiking!

Here are some pictures from our recent happenings.  Enjoy!
