Standing alone

For the past few days she has gotten tons of courage to stand by herself.  She will pull herself up to something, like the bed or windowsill or a toy, and then just let go and stand there for quite a few seconds.  She has very good balance.  But as soon as she wants to go somewhere she drops to the floor and crawls.  Last night we took video on the good camera (ie, unable to post here cause the files are too big) of her walking while holding my hands and at one point I let go of her hands and she stood there.  I backed up and held my arms out and she took one step and then dropped to the floor and crawled the rest of the way.  We're thinking in the next week or so she may just get the courage and start walking.  We'll see.
